Plusieurs artistes français sont invités au eArts Festival du 18 au 22 ocotobre à Shanghai qui a pour thème “Urbanized Landscape”. Ci dessus NeORIZON de Maurice Benayoun. The 2008 Shanghai eArts Festival aims to bring together art and technology.
“Horizon” Outdoor Project
‘Horizon’ is a major outdoor exhibition curated by Yan Xiao Dong featuring work by Chinese and international new media artists, running along a 0.5 km stretch of Pudong’s Century Avenue (Pedestrian Section), from the Sundial to Central Plaza. Venue: Century Avenue, PudongTime: 2008.10.18-10.22

Brief Introduction:
The city is a place built by the people for the people. The city skyline define the silhouette of the City, it is a significant component of its identity. By the same way, the skyline modify the horizon line, the limits of the visible world. The city is hiding the horizon by creating a new one. The process of converting everyone’s energy into a city is not so well known. NeORIZON make this process visible in a symbolic form. The city seems to be invaded by the “IDWORMS. “Lemma Luciola” is an imaginary water garden composed of floating artificial lenses. A spectacular outdoor installation, a “mirror screen” we look at to discover a different nature. The implantation of digital waterproof prints invests the pond as real lotus, reflecting the changing surfaces day and night. Brief introduction:
“Lemna Luciola” literally “lenses of firefly” is conceived in two versions to reveal a double vision of the same peace in daytime and night. At the time of genetic manipulations, cellular and molecular biology, new biomaterials, this digital installation confronts the viewers to a particular point of view. The work consists of a settlement of several hundred artificial lotus.
